Welcome To the First in Hampshire & Dorset Enthusiasts' Website

Hello and a warm welcome to the First in Hampshire & Dorset bus enthusiasts' website!

This website is run by bus enthusiasts, for bus enthusiasts. We aim to provide a reliable source of information about the present day operations of First Hampshire & Dorset. We've got the latest news, (usually!) up to date fleetlists for every depot, and we try to keep up with the ever changing route allocations on the different services around the network. There is also a very active and friendly forum, where we welcome new members, whether you are local or distant.

If you have any problems, or would like to get in touch with the webmaster, please use the "non login" box on the forum, and we will be in touch as soon as possible.

Finally, a quick prod in the direction of the Provincial Society, which preserves Provincial's history in terms of buses, documents and more, and organises the annual Stokes Bay rally. Please note; this website has no official contact with First Hampshire & Dorset and is independent from the company.

My next feature photograph comes from Portsmouth, featuring Transbus Trident 33182 (LR02LZB). Since its transfer from First Berkshire in 2015, it has spent most of the time in service in Weymouth - indeed earlier this year I photographed it on the 10 to Dorchester. However, following the Trident shuffle with the Brockenhurst College contract wins, combined with the end of the Weymouth summer season, it has moved up to Hoeford.

33182 is pictured here during the half term break, when Portsmouth's P&R service required six buses. As there are only three Enviro400s and one dedicated Volvo B7TL, two additional buses were required. It is pictured dodging the shadows in Queen St.

There have been no fleet changes since the last update; however, thanks to the kind people on the First Hants & Dorset forum, a few fleetlist mistakes have been found and updated.
